How it all started
Hood Signs started in 2006 after I tried to get my race car lettered. I was quoted over $1000 from a local sign shop to complete the job. What I asked for was something very simple, something that could’ve identified my car and meet the rule requirements to enter the race. When I was quoted that much it really discouraged me because I did not have a lot of money. I took it upon myself to go on eBay and I purchased a 24 inch vinyl cutter and software for $900. I started lettering my own cars for a fraction of the price. When other people saw my designs and knew that I could do with vinyl, that’s when the business began.
After getting off the ground we saw an opportunity to do high quality apparel, all custom at an affordable price. As of today, I have enlisted my wife and son into the business and we continue to serve the Southern Maryland area and beyond every single day.
